Equipment research is more useful when it shows how a recommendation was formed. Our first pass identifies the process question, maps the relevant system, and records the assumptions that could change the conclusion.

What we look for

  • What the equipment is expected to do in the actual workflow.
  • Which specification is relevant to that workflow.
  • Where the manufacturer’s documentation leaves room for interpretation.
  • Which trade-offs affect maintenance, control, compatibility, or safety.
